As the title would suggest, golf match play is one of games that people play on golf courses.With every hole played points are awarded to the players who usually take part on a one to one basis or in teams of two people.
Its easy to keep the score in golf match game as its worked out from one hole to the next.If a tie should occur for a particular hole, no-one gets the points and a tied up match is referred to as all square.
As far as the final result goes you may well see a 4/3 score line which would suggest the game came to an early end due to one player leading by four holes with only three holes left in the game.
There are a number of different things that must be considered with match play that are included with golf basics. For example, if you play out of turn during match play, your opponent can ask you to replay the shot because this is a violation of the rules.
Also, if you happen to play a shot from outside of the tee box, the same thing can happen. In stroke play, this would be a 2 shot penalty, so playing match play does have its advantages when these issues arise. Breaching a rule is very detrimental and in stroke play, it usually calls for a 2 shot penalty.
It is different in match play however, as the player only loses that hole and is given the opportunity to make up for this loss later in the game.
Late comers are not tolerated in stroke play and if you do not turn up on time you would forfeit the tournament. In match play though, you can start your game anytime up to the second tee.
As for strategy, match play golf is also much different from stroke play. If your opponent makes a bad tee-shot on a hole, it allows you to play more conservatively because you will have an advantage.
This type of reactionary golf can also be seen on the greens, as you can either putt aggressively or passively based on what your opponent does. Golf match play is an exciting way to learn the game because it allows players to compete directly with one another.

This may be familiar to you.
There are three sides to every story. Your side. My side and the truth. I heard these words years ago by Pastor Robert Armstrong of Warrendale Community Church. A man of great influence for me. He was a great student of the Bible.
God has a lot to say about the truth. Although this is not going to be a story about the Bible, but you can’t talk about truth, and leave the author, originator, and the embodiment of the truth out. To find the truth and then living the truth are two totally different events in any one’s life. This is what I would like to talk about here.
I want to talk about Tiger Woods. I know that so much has been written about him and everything that he has gone through. This is my take on it all.
I have such a mindset on the truth. Every where I go, everything I see and hear, I am obsessed with the lack of truth in our society. No one tells the truth anymore. I would challenge you go out and find truth in the streets and cities of this great land, and most of all….in your own heart.
Why is it so hard for us to tell the truth? I look back at my own life and I didn’t think twice about telling a lie. I am much better today, but it is still a struggle to always be honest and truthful.
Hypocrite. From the dictionary it means; ” a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles etc., that he or she doesn’t actually possess.” The word hypocrite comes from a Greek word which means; ” a stage actor, hence one who pretends to be what he is not.” Now before you start applying this to everyone that you know, take a good long look in the mirror of your own heart.
Now I don’t mean to put anymore guilt on Tiger Woods then already is there, but I would like to look at his incident to explain what I just described. Tiger Woods children, wife, and Tiger Wood, needs our prayers and support. Anyone of us, given those circumstances, could have been in the same situation.
Tiger Woods grew up in a good home. I don’t know all the details, but for the most part, he had good parents who instilled in him good morals and character to make him what he is today. Not just the best golfer and sports figure of our time, but the fiber and quality of a good man. A good catch for any women, and believe me, there were lots of them knocking on his door.
A good looking man. Rock solid morals and strength of character. Everyone of Tiger Woods endorsements, all of Tiger Woods wins, and all of Tiger Woods net worth, put him on a completely different playing field from everyone else. The diamond in the ruff that every parent would want to find for their daughter. Just think what that would have been like. But with all this comes the heat and the spot light that not many people can withstand.
All his upbringing, discipline, and moral character would be put through the fire, as it is with all of us. Everyone of us has gone through this. Maybe not to the same degree of fame and attention, but we have all gone through what Tiger Woods has gone through. Before you jump no his throat, how did you make it through yours? Maybe know one knows about your issue, and you were able to tuck it away from everyone’s view.
I didn’t make it through the fire of my test. I won’t elaborate the details, but lots of people were hurt and lives were changed forever because of me. Only the people involved will ever know what I’m talking about, but with Tiger Woods, the whole world is watching his every move. He has no place to hide.
When I first heard about this I was completely taken back like everyone else was. Tiger Woods? This could not be true. He would have been the last person I would ever figure for something like this.
Tiger did his best to cover up and twist the truth and hide from any questions. He did his best to protect his image of one who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, and principles that he didn’t possess. Or does he?
I really think that Tiger Woods has all those qualities deep down. You could always see it and hear it whenever he talked. These are qualities that you can’t fake. He did make a huge mistake, as we all do while we are growing up. I do think he is seeing the real person inside that mirror now. I do pray that it is still going to be OK for Tiger Woods wife and him. She has got to grow also, and together they can learn to build through all this and walk with the truth by their side.
