Many golfers professional and amateur believe that if you change your putter several times a year that you will finally find the golf putter that will lower their handicap. Getting a better performance from golf putters may help you feel better about your strokes but rarely is it the real reason for improvement in the golfers handicap.
A very important thing for a golfer is that they should look for a putter that will feel good in their hands and will fit perfectly with the style of stroke that they have. This is probably the only thing the putter truly influences.
First off you should pick a type and style that fits the way you personally golf. The different styles are the face balance forward which is good for the golfer who has a back and through motion to their golfing style. If you have what is called an in to out golf stroke then the toe balanced putter is the best style for you.
Another thing to look for is the type of putter it is. There are also three different types. One would be the blade which is one of the more commonly used putters. It has a small head and with a flat look. This is great for fast greens where you need a soft touch. Peripheral weighted type are used by both pros and amateurs and is great for the person who has an in to out stroke. The last type of putter is the mallet putter. This is a great putter for those who have the straight back and through type of stroke.
Another thing you need to consider when trying to find just the right golf putter is the face as well as the insert of the putter. The reason why the insert is important is that it is designed to give the golfer a softer feel when they go to putt the ball. The metal faced putter is generally made from steel or from other lighter metals like aluminum, brass, bronze, zinc and other light metals. These types of putters are heavy but gives the golfer a solid and controlled feel when they hit the ball.
A putter with an inserted face is one that is generally made of lightweight metal but the insert is made of a material other than metal. This type of putter gives the golfer a somewhat more natural feel to their stroke. Grooved face putters are great for cutting down on skidding, hopping off the green and back spinning. All these things may help your golf game.
If you are looking for a putter that is considered one of the best, you might want to look into purchasing the Odyssey. This turns out to be the highest rated putter by critics and those who use it. The main reason for this is because it gives you more control over the putting length. This is very popular with the amateurs. The Scotty Cameron Studio Style is favored more by most professionals. The trend seems to be that those with lower handicaps preferred the Scotty Cameron style. This could be because they played golf more often than the amateur which could look like it helps lower the handicap.
The main thing about putters is if it feels good in your hands then you will more than likely play with a little bit more confidence. Those who are amateurs would probably like the White Steel 2 Ball SRT Putters. These putters have an outline of a golf ball on the putter face which allows the golfer to line up the ball with the putter face. This helps the golfer better visualize hitting the ball.
Golf putters are basically a personal preference on how well they feel in your hands, how comfortable your stroke feels when using any particular putter. Although some people believe that a certain putter will definitely help their handicap, the truth of the matter is that the more confident you come with your golfing abilities the better your handicap will become.

There are many golfers determined to play throughout the year and travel south to warmer climates. Travel golf bag becomes a necessity for such players regardless of whether they are travelling by plane or train. With travel golf bag you can provide better protection to your golf-club and these bags are quite easy to carry on your shoulders or on any golf cart. With different sizes and colors you can find huge varieties of travel golf bag in the market. You can get travel golf bag with accessories or golf travel bag with features.
A few varieties of travel golf bag are high impact polyester travel bag, hybrid bag, and heavy duty soft bag. Heavy duty soft golf bag with wheels is normally preferred by touring professionals on the PGA, LPGA and Champions so that they can carry it easily. For your needs you can ensure before purchasing that the travel golf bag has extra thick padding so that your clubs are protected better. During travel or while at the golf course, hybrid golf bags are useful. Cloth cover reinforced with some inside lamination using PVC etc., is used in high impact polyester golf bag. If there are strong bag straps and wheels in the golf bag, it will be convenient and smooth in carrying.
While looking for travel golf bag, some important points must be kept in mind. The golf bag should have enough room for keeping clubs that are basically meant for hitting the ball. Most of the golf bags can accommodate 14 clubs but if there is extra long driver, you have to ensure that the length of the travel golf bag is adequate enough to accommodate it.
Some travel golf bags have hard case cover while others are soft. Soft golf bags are provided with extra padding and are easier to handle and they give protection to your clubs in most circumstances. Soft golf bags are light in weight while hard case golf bags are significant for those on frequent travelling with their golf bag. You can add some strapping for security to hard golf bags as they can snap open.
If there are some pockets in the travel golf bag, it would be more convenient to keep tees, golf balls and other such items. In addition to it, a golf bag with a both side strap provides easy maneuverability. If you intend to keep the kit erect while at rest, you can buy retractable travel golf bag.
Whatever travel golf bag you buy, it should fit in your budget. It would not be prudent to buy a golf bag costlier than your golf accessories. Further, to determine which golf bag will suit you most you have to consider the amount of traveling you plan, the value of your clubs and how much protection you need.

Lowering one’s golf handicap especially if you are a casual weekend golfer earns bragging rights on Mondays. But before a weekend warrior tees up on that first tee it may be wise to do a little golf preparation. What I mean by that is to get yourself in golf shape through exercise. Even professional golfers today take exercise seriously because they know that today’s golfers are stronger physically. Some work as hard off the golf course as they do on the golf course. Just take a look at the new generation of professional golfers the next time you plop down in front of the TV.
If a casual golfer thinks that all you have to do is tee it up high, rear back and swing with his big head driver, then he is going to be in trouble. Without proper warm up or properly preparing the muscles in the lower back that golfer is looking at a sore back. And if he thinks all he has to worry about are sand traps and water hazards he should think again. His back may not be sore that day but wait till the next day. He can benefit from light stretching otherwise his golf swing may not have full extension.
So how do you stay healthy through golf season? You start by strengthening the muscles you use in a golf swing. Concentrate on the lower back and core muscle group. Not sure where to start? If you belong to a gym seek the advise of a certified personal trainer. Let the trainer know your desire to avoid injury playing golf. The trainer should be able to give you the proper instruction of exercises you can do at the gym and at your home. If working out at home is more convenient for you, personal trainers make house calls or if you rather you can watch instructional golf exercise videos at home. There are fine online fitness stores that carry affordable fitness equipment needed for these exercises.
With a golf swing, your body goes through a series of positions. These include rotation, forward flexion, and extension. It is extremely important to warm up properly before you take your first practice swing at the first tee. If you rather prepare at home and not spend money on a personal trainer, buy a few pieces of home exercise equipment you can use on your own. Purchase a dumbbell or a kettlebell. Both are great for strength training. If you use a kettlebell, start with a slight bend at the knees, slowly swing the kettlebell right and left for an easy rotation of your spine. And remember you don’t need a heavy weight here. Make sure you keep your abs engaged for support.
Another good upper body workout you can do in your home is exercises using a resistance band. These bands come in various resistance levels so even if you are new to it you can start with a lower level workout of less intensity with more reps until you feel comfortable going to a heavy resistance band. Finding exercises is easy. Seek out exercises with resistance bands on the Internet. What makes this fitness tool unique and highly functional is its ability to keep you going from one exercise to the next in a fluid motion. Much easier to do then with a heavy weight and extremely beneficial in results.
A good golf swing relies on good balance. Balance pods, balance boards, even balance pads all provide help in keeping you in balance fitness shape. Senior golfers can benefit from balance exercises. Balance training using a foam balance pad at home is one way to exercise. Step on the pad with one leg and come off and repeat with your other leg. Try holding your position on the pad a second or two. Repeat these steps to develop lower leg strength. Balance training boards are another good tool to strengthen the lower body, but with this it may be best to hold onto a secure object at first. Why the board? Look how good a skateboarder’s balance is. Now imagine your golf swing.
Golfers use resistance band training equipment to keep in proper golf condition. Keeping loose and flexible with an ideal stretching tool like resistance bands.

In this article I will briefly discuss the types of the Callaway 3 Wood range. At present Callaway currently make four different types of 3-wood, these are the Big Bertha Diablo, the X-Hot, the FT and the FT-i squareway. Depending on the type of golfer that you are will depend which club is right for you, as they all provide different effects in relation to swing styles.
A customized shape club head has been introduced into the Big Bertha Diablo and this has the effect of increase the length of the shot and providing a greater accuracy in shot placement.
FT-i Squareway has a squareway inertial design placing the weight of the club head in the most extreme corners of the club. The result of this is that the club is loss prone to twisting throughout the swing action.
A club designed to stop the back and forth rocking of the club is the X-Hot this ensures that your shot will always start off on target. This feature is achieved thanks to the patented design which sees the club head rest upon to sections of the sole of the club.
The Callaway FT series of clubs are created using a variety of metals this allows for greater calibration of the center of gravity of the club head and thus an even sweeter sweet spot resulting in increased trajectory and shaping of the shot.
The angle of the club face on a three wood is usually between 13 and 15 degrees, this is known as the loft of the wood. From a three wood you should be aiming to get the ball to travel around the 250 yard mark. When a driver is not an appropriate club for the tee off a 3 wood can be used. It is also handy for shots where the ball is just off the fairway or when the ball has a good lie in the rough.
As the amount of investment within Golf has increased so has the research that goes into the production of the clubs themselves. As such the market has been inundated with a variety of clubs to suit different kinds of swings, the best way to determine which is right for you is to go to a driving range with them and try them out. Most driving ranges allow for different clubs to be sampled so you won’t have to buy them first.
There are two main types of metal used for 3 wood clubs these being a titanium alloy or steel. Titanium provides greater power within the shot to due its lighter weight however it is more expensive than steel.
Loft is a key part of a wood, the higher the number on the wood the more loft that it generates. The more loft a club has the higher the ball will travel, and as such the shorter the distance from you it will cover.
The longest club in a Golfers bag is usually the 1-wood then followed by the 3 wood, 2 woods are available but are rarely used. Woods are good alternatives to drivers for beginners as they have a smaller face and as such make it easier to hit the ball.
Use one of the best clubs out there by buying the Callaway 3 wood in your bag. Go online to find great deals, even on a nice canvas field bag to use. Go online today and find out more.
