Dallas Cowboys – A History And Current Information
Without doubt, the Dallas Cowboys are a legend among pro football teams. They have been dubbed “America’s Team”, and are estimated to be valued the highest of all football teams in the entire NFL. They have always been a successful, winning team, and have garnered a huge fan following not just in Texas, but everywhere in the world because of their spirit and team talent.
In 1960, the Dallas Cowboys officially became part of the NFL, but only as an expansion. Once their games started to take off and prove the team’s talent, they really got taken seriously. They’ve won five Super Bowls and had 20 winning seasons, which set the record in the NFL. The Dallas Cowboys aren’t just a one time win kind of team; they can play and they can win over and over again.
On top of that, Dallas has played in an entire 14 games in the championship. That’s more than any other NFL team. They’ve participated in eight Super Bowls and have such a huge history of success that they’re definitely one of the best teams in the NFL, period.
Luck isn’t what’s made the team such a success, though. They’ve had players like Emmitt Smith, Michael Irvin, and Troy Aikman among their team members, which has made a big impact in the team’s overall rate of success. These are players who are famous both for their time with the team itself but also are legendary football players.
A ring of honor was created for the Cowboys to showcase their most valuable players and contributors. This ring has honored people like Aikman of course, and also many coaches and donator’s who have helped the team become the great display of success that it is.
Surprisingly, the Cowboys weren’t that successful when they first started out, but the year 1980 changed things dramatically. Troy Aikman became quarterback and other star players also joined the team, making it able to take its place in history. The talent of the team shot up and the Cowboys overhauled their entire player base. Even though some conflicts arose between coaches, the team managed to pull through this barrier and went on to become one of the top NFL teams in history.
Their logo, the lone star against a blue background, is a representation of Texas’ own home logo. The star is white. This represents the team’s power and ability to overcome challenges, which is another representation of their integrity as a team, and what has made them so successful over the course of history.
The Cowboys also played in several different stadiums throughout their time, but now actually have their own stadium in Texas, known as the Cowboys stadium. This is where all their home games are played now. This team has earned their place in history and that’s why this stadium was built: to represent America’s Team and its spirit of power and resilience, which is such a big part of football throughout the ages.
