New England Patriots – One Of The Best Teams Ever

All sports are watched and played in the United States. One that is known to be more popular in comparison to others is American Football. A surprising fact that many were not aware of until recent times was that American Football is not only watched and played in the US but it is also watched and followed across the entire globe. Many people in other countries are also known to keep up with the NFL and other major football leagues. Every state in the US is known to have a team that represents them in the major leagues. One that is the fans favorite is the New England Patriots.

The New England Patriots is very popular amongst the fans. They have been given a nick name which is known as the Pats. The New England Patriots is one of the few teams that have been in the NFL for quite a long time. The Pats are part of the American Football Conference; the East Division to be particular. The New England Patriots was not always known by this name. The team was initially referred to as the Boston Patriots. The team name was changed in 1971 when they moved to Foxborough permanently.

The first season played by the New England Patriots was in the year 1959. Seeing as they have been playing professional ball for over a number of decades, the Pats have been able to secure a large amount of silverware. They are one of the few teams that have been able to win over twenty different trophies in a single decade alone. Seeing as the team has had a strong performance in previous years, this is expected to continue in he new coming season.

One of the first things that you will notice about the New England Patriots is the team logo that they have. In comparison to other teams, the Pats logo is very unique. The logo for the Pats at the current moment in time is based around the face of a man. The head region of the face is made to look like a flag what has a star towards the right hand side. The logo is made of three different colors; white, red and blue.

The home uniform for the New England Patriots is quite unique in comparison to other teams. Their jersey is nautical blue in color which is contrasted with a new century silver shorts. The shorts are also known to have a small outline of red on the side of the shorts. The logo of the team is only to be found on the helmet it self.

The away kit for the Pats is both similar yet different to the home kit. The jersey it self is fully white where as the shorts are nautical blue. The lining on the shorts for the away kit is white. The number of the players is known to be found on the back side of the jersey.

The Pats are also known to have an alternative kit that is hardly ever used. This uniform is only used on rare occasions such as during a pre season friendly game.
